Before coming to Community Lutheran, Mark served as Executive Pastor at St. Andrew's in Mahtomedi Minnesota. Mark earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Millersville University of Pennsylvania, a Master of Arts degree from Bethel Theological Seminary in Minnesota, a Master of Divinity degree from San Francisco Theological Seminary in California, and a Doctor of Ministry degree from the Lutheran School of Theology in Chicago, Illinois.

Prior ministry experiences include being a high school teacher, congregational youth director, street minister, Young Life leader, church consultant, adjunct seminary instructor, national and international camp and conference speaker and author of materials for a half dozen publishers. Rev. Dr. Wickstrom has been ordained in the Lutheran Church since 1986 and was previously ordained in the United Church of Christ. He is married to Kristi and together they are raising a family of four children. Mark loves to travel, ski, ballroom dance, play and watch sports, work out, walk, make puns, laugh, do missions, and teach God's Word.
